All information on this website is offered in good faith for general guidance, but we cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness, or ongoing availability. Motorcycling & Activity Risks
Motorcycling—especially off-road—carries inherent risks, including injury, accidents, wildlife encounters, mechanical failures, and unpredictable terrain or weather. By booking or participating in any activity with The Chiang Garage, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Liability Waiver (Required for Participation)
All participants must sign a liability waiver before joining any ride, rental, workshop service, or training session. By doing so, you agree that The Chiang Garage, its owners, staff, partners, and contractors cannot be held liable for injuries, loss, damage, delays, or incidents arising from participation, including those caused by road conditions, natural hazards, other riders, third parties, or mechanical issues.

Insurance Requirements
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel or personal insurance that covers motorcycle riding in Thailand, including medical expenses, evacuation, and personal liability. Proof may be required before rentals, tours, or training.

Rider Responsibilities
Participants must ride safely, follow Thai traffic laws, respect guide instructions, and operate motorcycles within their skill level. Reckless or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from an activity without refund. Riders are responsible for any damage to rental or tour motorcycles in accordance with their signed agreement.

Off-Road Training & Workshops
Our training and mechanical workshop services are designed to assist riders, but participation is voluntary. The Chiang Garage is not liable for injuries during training sessions or for any post-service issues arising from mechanical limitations, parts availability, or rider misuse.

Cafe & Refreshment Services
Food and beverages served at The Chiang Garage comply with Thai safety standards. However, customers with allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions are responsible for notifying staff. Alcohol consumption is at your own discretion, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who may pose a safety risk.

Refund Policy

We’re excited to welcome you on an upcoming adventure with us. To help us prepare the best possible experience for every rider, here’s a clear breakdown of how bookings, payments, and cancellations work. Our aim is transparency and fairness while ensuring we can reliably plan logistics for all guests.

1. Securing Your Spot

To confirm your booking and reserve your motorcycle, a deposit is required.

  • Deposit: 10% of the total tour price (due at booking)

  • Final Balance: Due 60 days before the tour begins

Please note:
We begin incurring costs immediately upon booking (accommodation, logistics, route planning, and motorcycle preparation). For this reason, the 10% deposit is non-refundable.

2. If Your Plans Change (Cancellation Policy)

We prefer to ride with you, but we understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel, please inform us by email as soon as possible.

Refunds are calculated based on your Remaining Balance (the amount paid minus the deposit), depending on when we receive your cancellation:

Days Before Departure Refund Eligibility

91+ Days - 50% of remaining balance refunded

90–60 Days - 25% of remaining balance refunded

Less than 60 Days-  0% refund — all tour logistics are fully committed at this stage

Important:
If you cancel within the 60-day window and the final balance has not yet been paid, the cancellation fees listed above still apply.

3. Protecting Your Investment (Mandatory Travel Insurance)

Because our tours involve complex pre-booked logistics, our cancellation terms must be firm. For your protection, travel insurance is mandatory for all riders.

Your policy must include:

  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption

  • Medical Expenses (specifically covering motorcycle riding)

  • Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation

This ensures that if unforeseen circumstances prevent you from joining the tour, you are financially protected even when we cannot issue refunds. We can provide any documentation your insurer requires for a claim.
